LIC Jeevan Umang is a participating, non-linked whole-life plan. You pay premiums for a chosen term (15, 20, 25 or 30 years); after that, the plan pays a survival benefit of 8% of the Basic Sum Assured every year for the rest of your life, and cover continues up to age 100.
At age 100 (or on earlier death) the Basic Sum Assured plus vested bonuses and Final Additional Bonus is paid. It is popular for creating a lifelong income stream while leaving a legacy for the family.
